Housing is important when it comes to Leopard Geckos. They need Substrate or "bedding" they also need huts, a cage or tank, acsessories and water bowl.

The substrate is a hard subject to cover. Sand is NOT an option. This is because Leopard Geckos can smell the Calcium in the sand and the will EAT the sand. Leopard Geckos cannot digest the sand and it will cause blockage. This causes them to become impacted. This will kill your Leopard Gecko if it doesn't get treatment. The other options is Reptile Carpet which I use and LOVE or ceramic tile. Reptile Carpet is rough and is like carpet. It is easy to wash. And you don't have to keep buying it over and over agian. All you do is throw it in the wash. Every 4 months you need to replace it. The other option was ceramic tile. This looks nice but is very expensive. You never have to replace it but agian it is expensive. It is nice because it holds heat and lets the Leo to lay on it. And when you find poop you can easly take it off. This looks nice and is very safe but it does cost money.

They need a water bowl. The water bowl can only be 1-2 inches deep and 2-3 inches long and wide. If it is any bigger the Leopard Gecko will drown.

The Leopard Gecko needs a warm hut and a cool hut to find out more view General Care.

They also need a 10-20 gallon tank to find more about the Housing and cage acsessories view General Care.
