Never buy from a Petstore. All Petstores keep Males & Females together. That means if you have a Female there is a 90% chace she had mated with a Male and has eggs in her stomach. If you would like little baby's go ahead! But NEVER breed. You need to know A LOT of the geckos background to breed. It isn't that easy, you don't just put a Male and Felmale together, it takes much more!

Where to buy

           Adopt! Don't shop!
There are two ways to adopt. You can buy from a real breeder offline or go to a local animal shelter or adoption center. There they may have Leopard Geckos. If not and you cannot get offline this is the time to go to a Petstore. Shopping is only good if you don't have anyother option. I got my Leopard Geckos from a Petstore and thye are fine. I have a Male and a Female. I do not breed as I no nothing. I do not know when they were born so I do not know their ages. It would be a bad choice if I would breed them.
                      Adopt! Don't Shop!
The first thing you need to do is check online. I know this doesn't sound like adopting and often it is expensive but there is a reason for it . If you buy a Leopard Gecko from a Petstore like PetSmart or Petco or any Petstore, if it is a Female, it may be pregnet. Most people do not want to end up with a pregnet Leopard Gecko. And I know I wouldn't. A breeder keeps Leopard Geckos seperate. They know all the care there is to a Leopard Gecko. You can find many different Morphs there. There is less expensive way to adopt in the next section.
